Susan graduated, Cum Laude, from Vincennes University in 1989 with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal/Legal Assistant.  She then attended Ball State University and in 1991 received a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Administration.  Susan is a former member of the Paralegal/Legal Assistant Advisory Committee at Vincennes University.

Prior to becoming a legal assistant with the firm Susan worked as an administrative assistant in the Trust Department at Dubois County Bank in Jasper.  Susan joined the firm in the fall of 1993.  She works mainly in the area of estate planning and estate administration.  In the estate planning area Susan oversees the preparation of documents, meets with clients regarding asset transfers and monitors all the estate planning documents that are executed in the office.  During the estate administration process Susan meets with clients and works with them to collect and distribute estate assets.  She assists the lawyers in the preparation of documents and files most of those documents with the court.  She also assists in the preparation of federal and state death tax returns.  Other areas of the law that Susan helps the lawyers with are adoptions, guardianships, mediations and various real estate matters.
